No Game, Game On
The
First Team Rhodes Cup tie was cancelled early in the week, as opponents Hooley
Bridge Celtic had a held over County Cup tie.
The
weather was the main winner of the weekend as all the Clubs other games fell
victim to the conditions.
The
Seconds Wray Cup tie against Droylsden Amateurs has
now been reorganised for 7 February.
Whilst
the Thirds game away to Pendlebury; and the Fourths
and Fifth home fixtures against Moston Brook 3rds and
Staly FC 2nd, respectively were called
off.
All
players are reminded that during the winter period, it is essential that when
turning up to the Club, they not only usual football boots, but moulded/astro turf footwear.
This is because if games need to be cancelled at late notice we will
attempt to organise training matches on 3G astro turf
surfaces, probably at Wright Robinson Sports College in Abbey Hey.
They
have three pitches and often one may be available.
This
will be generally done when we have at least two team matches cancelled and is available
to all Club players, or players who are interested in playing for the Club.
Keep in
contact with your Team coaches or view the Clubs Website for updated
information.
The
Fourth and Fifths took advantage of this and played out a fine 2-2 draw.
